RIPLEY COUNTY, IN (FOX19) -

The driver in a triple-fatal accident was intoxicated two times more than the legal limit, according to Indiana State Police.

Emergency crews responded to a crash at U.S. 50 and County Road 300 West around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

ISP says Andre N. Devant, 31, was driving southbound on County Road when he pulled into the path of a tractor-trailer that was traveling eastbound on eastbound U.S. 50.

Devant and his two passengers, Margaret A. Guinn, 27, and Aaliyah Guinn, 3, were killed in the crash.

The 37-year-old semi driver was taken to Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. He was treated and released

Toxicology results shows Devant had a .19 percent BAC at the time of incident, according to ISP. Investigators say Devant also tested positive for marijuana.
