A medical helicopter responded to a crash that shut down southbound Interstate 71 near the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge overnight, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
CareFlight flew one person to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton shortly after the accident was reported just after 2 a.m. Thursday, a dispatcher said.
The entire southbound side of the highway was shut down for about an hour before the left lane reopened.
All lanes were cleared by 4:45 a.m., the dispatcher said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
