CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Law enforcement will be on the lookout for impaired motorists near the University of Cincinnati tonight.
The Hamilton County OVI Task Force and Cincinnati Police will operate a sobriety checkpoint at 350 West Martin Luther King Drive from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday.
Patrols also will be stepped up in the area.
This area near UC is being targeted after 73 drivers were arrested for OVI and 38 OVI-related crashes were reported there since May 1, 2015, the task force said in a prepared statement.
A second OVI checkpoint tonight is set to begin at 10 p.m. up in Hamilton.
The Butler County OVI Task Force will hold a low-manpower operation until 2 a.m. Saturday on Main Street (US 129) at F Street.
Authorities are required by law to give advance notice of checkpoint locations.
