SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - An employee of a 64-year-old Symmes Township man found dead in his home has been arrested in connection to the crime.
Police said Donald L. Durgan-Dawson was arrested for the aggravated murder of Anant Singh.
Sheriff's deputies and paramedics from the Loveland/Symmes Fire Department found Anant Singh dead at his residence May 4.
According to authorities, Durgan-Dawson has prior felony and misdemeanor convictions in Hamilton County. He was Singh's employee, acting as his property manager for his real estate business.
A family friend told FOX19 NOW at the beginning of the month that they couldn't imagine Singh being targeted in any way.
"You couldn't imagine a person like Anant being the target of such an event. He was a very gentle man, decent man," said family friend Harjinder Singh. "Anant never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was always smiling. So I can't understand how this came to pass."
Bond is set at $1 million.
