BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19) - It took a Blue Ash woman two decades to reunite with her birth mother and their first meeting was caught on camera.
Molly Caldwell, owner of Through the Garden restaurant, started searching for her mom after Ohio unsealed adoption records in 2015. Caldwell, 27, said she felt like a kid in a candy store, finally able to look for answers about her biological mother.
Caldwell then received a name – Rosie Clagett. She found an address and wrote a letter only to have it returned. She then got a phone number, but the line was disconnected.
It seemed like hope was lost until she found the woman on Facebook.
After exchanging messages, Caldwell learned that Clagett had also been searching for her daughter for the past 15 years. Clagett gave up her daughter when she was 19-years-old.
Molly anxiously flew to Texas and finally reunited with her mother. Check out their reunion in the video above.
