COLLEGE HILL (FOX19) - Cincinnati Police say the suspect connected with a College Hill homicide is considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities searched the Mount Airy Forest for Joseph Swecker after finding the victim's abandoned vehicle near the area Tuesday morning. Police and K9 Units were dispatched near Montana Avenue and West Fork Road before the search was suspended around 2 p.m.
Police say Swecker, 34, is likely carrying a weapon. He is described as white with long brown hair, 6'2" and 170 pounds.
Julia Boyajian, a school nurse at Mount Auburn International Academy, was found dead in the 6100 block of Hamilton Avenue around 11:30 a.m. Monday. The 34-year-old's death is under investigation as a homicide.
The relationship between Swecker and Boyajian is unknown.
Grief counselors were on-hand at at Mount Auburn International Academy Tuesday for students and staff.
FOX19 NOW spoke with parents and staff at the academy where Boyajian worked as the school nurse for the past six years. They said she was a staple on campus and always brought a positive energy to the school.
PTA President Letecia Cunningham tells us this comes as a complete shock and Boyajian is irreplaceable in so many ways.
"As a nurse, she was awesome. As a person, she was phenomenal. How she was with these children is a parents dream," said Letecia Cunningham, PTA President.
Staff at the school say they are devastated.
"Her office was a safe haven, we all loved her. She was a bright star, we are going to miss her terribly," said Susan Moore, Director of MAIA.
