DAYTON, OH (FOX19) - Wright State University has announced a scholarship in the name of a student killed last month in Bond Hill.
Parris Hummons,19, died at University of Cincinnati Medical Center after a suspect opened fire on the car she and her friend were riding in on the night of April 16.
The scholarship is intended for students at Hummons' alma mater, the Dayton Early College Academy (DECA).
To qualify, students must have at least a 2.5 GPA, and a need for financial assistance.
Hummons was a second year student at Wright State, where she intended to study rehabilitation services.
