CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A woman who is the manager of a Check into Cash store on Reading Road allegedly checked out with it, according to police.
Joanna Marin was arrested by Cincinnati Police after she called 911 claiming that the store was robbed.
The police report states Marin told them she was robbed at gunpoint inside the store. The report states that she walked across the parking lot to deposit the money to US Bank when it happened.
Cops checked the surveillance video and were able to determine that Marin "fabricated the incident," the report states.
When police interviewed her about the fake robbery she allegedly admitted to the incident.
Police claim Marin told them she had been stealing money from her job for a several months. "I stole money because I am behind on my bills and I financed a trip to California," the report states. It goes on to say she did that for herself and her kids.
Marin used the money for Christmas gifts, police allege.

Marin was charged with theft and released from the Hamilton County Jail.
