CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The two Cincinnati Police Officers who rescued a baby gosling from the string of a balloon were thanked by the zoo Tuesday.
Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden president/director Thane Maynard personally thanked officers James Givens and Cecilia Charron for their actions in saving gosling.
The two CPD officers gained national attention for rescuing the gosling after Mother's Day.
With Givens recording and the mother goose honking, Charron freed the baby bird from the balloon. After being freed, the video shows the gosling promptly running off to join the rest of the family.
The rescue came after a mother goose came up and pecked on Givens' car door for help.
