MONROE, OH (FOX19) - The Monroe Police Department is investigating a complaint regarding a situation at the high school involving a contract employee from Atrium Medical Center.
Monroe Police say due to the sensitive nature of the matter, they will not be releasing names or what allegedly occurred.
According to Premier Health, which operates Atrium Medical Center, the complaint involves an athletic trainer from the health care system who was a contract employee at Monroe High School.
"We are aware of the allegations against one of our athletic trainers," said Premier Health, in a statement.
Premier Health Partners said the athletic trainer from has been placed on "investigatory suspension."
No charges have been filed at this time.
"We take these allegations and the safety of all individuals we care for seriously and intend to fully cooperate with law enforcement and Monroe Local Schools during this investigation," said Gary Blake, vice president of service integration, orthopedics and sports medicine, for Premier Health.
