WEST END, OH (FOX19) - A mother is accused of putting her 5-month-old son in a sink of hot water and severely burning him.
The baby suffered second and third degree burns to his legs, feet and genitalia, said Cincinnati police spokesman Lt. Steve Saunders.
Camilla Bush, 28, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the April 2 incident at the family residence in the 800 block of Clark Street.
She was held overnight without bond at the Hamilton County jail on a child endangering charge and was scheduled to face a judge Thursday morning.
Bush no longer has custody of her son, Saunders said.
The boy and his 2-year-old brother were put in foster care after the incident, said Brian Gregg, spokesman for Hamilton County Department of Job & Family Services.
"We are going to keep the children in care for now as we continue to assess the mother's ability to safely parent," he said.
