Sixteen historic sites have been dubbed Ohio’s “most endangered,” and two can be found in the Tri-State.

The non-profit Preservation Ohio considered several qualities when creating the list, including degrees of demolition, abandonment and neglect.

Cincinnati-area locations that made this year’s list include Middletown’s Sorg Opera House and the Dennison Hotel on Main St. in Downtown Cincinnati.

Preservation Ohio publishes the list each year to raise awareness of the history behind the buildings, and to shed light on current preservation efforts.
