CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The first Honor Bell forged here in Cincinnati at the Verdin Company is leaving the Tri-State.
The bell weighs 1,000-pounds and military artifacts from twelve deceased veterans were incorporated in to the bell.
A special unveiling ceremony and the first tolling of the bell on Saturday. Seven veterans tolled the bell seven times in honor of the deceased veterans and their families.
Before the National Anthem at the Cincinnati Reds game on Saturday, the Honor Bell Foundation will toll the Honor Bell and perform "Bell Honors."
The bell will leave Ohio. It will make four stops on a "forge for honor tour" before making it to Colorado on May 30.
