A man demanded cash and cigarettes from a gas station in Mt. Orab early Saturday morning, according to police.
Officials said the robber entered the Marathon in the 570 block of North High Street and showed a handgun to the store clerk.
"It was a little nerve-racking, you know, someone put a gun in my face," store cashier Dillon Wallace said.
Wallace told FOX19 NOW he didn't think much about the suspect when he initially walked past the counter.
"He comes in and didn't see me and then I say something," Wallace said. "Now he's telling me to get the money out of the drawer and I told him no."
That's when the suspect threatened to shoot Wallace.
The male then left the area on foot with an undetermined amount of cash and four packs of cigarettes, said authorities. Before leaving, the suspect allegedly told Wallace to lay on the ground and not to move for two minutes or he would come back and shoot Wallace.
"When I put my face down I didn't know if he was going to me or not because I couldn't see," Wallace said. "As soon as he walked out the door, I got up up and got the phone."
Police said the man was described as a white male wearing dark plaid pajama pants, black tennis shoes, black gloves, white shirt, black hooded jacket and a toboggan that was cut out over the upper part of the subject's face.
