A new support center for drug addicts and their families opened its doors Sunday afternoon.
The grand opening for the Foxfire Foundation was held at the new office on Decoursey Avenue in Latonia.
The group works with addicted individuals to help them turn their lives around and offer them hope.
Changing society's attitudes toward the addicted is one of the foundation's goals since drug addiction can affect anyone.
"We lost our son Chad to the disease of addiction 11 years ago on the 20th of May," said founder Carol Wagner. "And there was no where for us to go to get information on drug addiction when he was suffering. And I always had a dream to have a facility to help families."
Foxfire began its work just one year after Chad's death, but has not had a facility until now.
