DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

There are some great new features to check out at Kings Island this weekend including the debut of a seven-story water slide.

Tropical Plunge will make its highly-anticipated debut this Saturday in Soak City Waterpark at Kings Island.

The ride features six different water slide experiences.

On three of the slides, guests climb into an aqua-chamber and wait for the floor to drop out from underneath their feet, sending them into an almost vertical free fall through a series of loops and curves.

And here's another bonus -- Soak City Waterpark is included free with park admission to Kings Island.

Kings Island will also be offering free admission to active and retired members of the U.S. Military this weekend  from Friday until Memorial Day on Monday.

Military who qualify for the free admission include active, retired military, National Guard, veterans with honorable or medical discharge and Reserve Officers’ Training Corps with government issued ID.

A valid military ID must be presented to take advantage of this offer.

Military personnel can also buy admission at a special price of $29.99 for up to six family members.

There will also be a Memorial Day cookout which will be an all-you-can-eat picnic buffet from May 28-30 in the park’s picnic grove area from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tickets are $17.99 per person for non-season passholders; $15.99 for passholders and $11.99 for active and retired military.
