ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

An armed, suicidal man is under arrest this morning after authorities say he barricaded himself inside a residence, prompting a SWAT team to respond, and then fired several gunshots at officers.

Hamilton County sheriff's deputies were called to the 1000 block of Pamela Drive for a report of an armed suicidal subject about 10 p.m. Monday, sheriff's officials said in a prepared statement.

When they arrived, the man locked himself in the house and was reported to have a gun.

He threatened to harm himself and refused contact with sheriff's deputies.

After several unsuccessful attempts to talk to him, deputies summoned a SWAT team to respond.

The man threatened to hurt the officers and fired multiple shots at them, sheriff's officials said.

No one was hurt.

The man, identified as William Holtman, 35, surrendered at 2:37 a.m.

He was charged with two counts of felonious assault and one count each of inducing panic and aggravated menacing.
