West Chester rape, robbery suspect in custody

WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - The West Chester suspect accused in the robbery and rape of a woman Tuesday is in custody, police confirmed.

Camron Victor Wohl was taken into custody without incident at a northern Kentucky Hampton Inn Friday, at around 2:15 p.m., according to police.

Police said Wohl confronted the victim in the 6600 block of Tylersville Road, demanding pain medication and forcing her into a home, where she was sexually assaulted.

Officials located Wohl's stolen silver 2004 Chevrolet 2500 Duramax pick-up truck near the rear lot of a Hampton Inn in Carrollton, Ky.

Investigators discovered a room had been registered in Wohl's name. He was located inside and taken into custody.

Authorities on Wednesday released a composite sketch of the suspect. By Friday, an arrest warrant for Wohl had been signed. He is charged with rape, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and kidnapping.

West Chester police investigators were in Carrolton working with Kentucky State Police and local law enforcement prior to Wohl's arrest.
