Beer and mosquitoes?

As summer heats up there's nothing like a cold brew. But if you're walking around with a beer in hand, it could make you more of a magnet for mosquitoes.

Research shows even the smallest amount of beer makes you more likely to be bitten than someone opting for hard liquor or wine but there’s no clear indication why.

People who avoid beer aren't off the hook, either. Twenty percent of people will still be feasted on by mosquitoes based on their blood type.

According to Smithsonian, 1 in 5 people have blood that's tasty to mosquitoes, which explains why some people can be covered with bites while others barely have any.

One study found that in a controlled setting, mosquitoes landed on people with Type O blood nearly twice as often as those with Type A.
