A New Richmond woman drowned on Tuesday while on vacation with friends and family in Bay County, Fl.
Theresa Roark, 52, was floating on a boogie board next to her boat when she was pulled out by the current into deeper water and lost her flotation device, officials said.
Panama City Fire recovered Roark and performed CPR at the scene. Roark was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Krista Wallace was on the boat at the time of the incident.
Wallace told officers in the incident report that Roark was not experienced in open water swimming.
