Road work on Interstate 75 at Hopple Street requires the permanent closure of the ramp from eastbound I-74 to Central Parkway tonight and early Friday.
Work crews will be out 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. with lane closures on eastbound I-74 from Beekman Street east to I-75.
They will also block the ramp from Beekman Street to eastbound 74.
To detour around, head south on Beekman Street to Hopple Street, east to northbound 75.
There also will be lane closures on eastbound I-74 from Beekman Street, east to I-75.
The ramp from eastbound I-74 to Central Parkway will be permanently closed upon the completion of the work.
To complete the closure, there will be a short-term closure of the Beekman Road entrance ramp to 74.
There will be additional lane closures on I-75, Friday night.
The new access to Central Parkway from eastbound I-74 will be the Hopple Street exit.
This permanent ramp closure is necessary for the new Hopple Street on ramp to northbound I-75 that is expected to open in the fall.
It will also allow for the construction of the ramp from eastbound I-74 to northbound I-75 as part of the upcoming I-74/I-75 interchange project, scheduled to start in the fall of 2017.
