COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The state Department of Health says nearly 11,000 people in Ohio have been hospitalized for influenza this flu season. Ohio health department records show Cuyahoga County, which includes Cleveland, has had nearly double the number of flu hospitalizations thru Feb. 10 as Franklin County, Ohio's most populous county that includes Columbus. WJW-TV has reported the Cuyahoga County Health Department says there have been 30 flu-related deaths in the county this season.

CINCINNATI (AP) - A county health department in southwest Ohio says children, staff members and others will be tested for tuberculosis because of concerns that a former day care center worker may have exposed them to the infectious bacterial disease. WCPO-TV reports Hamilton County Health Department spokesman Mike Samet said Friday there are concerns that 41 children, seven day care workers and four other people could have been exposed to tuberculosis through interactions with the former employee.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The last abortion clinic in Toledo is asking the Ohio Supreme Court to reconsider its ruling that upheld an order shuttering the facility. Justices concluded the state had a right to revoke the license for Capital Care of Toledo because it no longer had a required patient-transfer agreement with a local hospital. The ProMedica hospital system later authorized such an agreement with Capital Care. The clinic cites that development in a Friday filing seeking the court's reconsideration.

CINCINNATI (AP) - Some schools have been plagued this winter by outbreaks of racism in a city that's been revitalized in recent years following racial violence. From a middle-school teacher's warning to a black student that he could get lynched to racially derogatory chants by students at a high school basketball game, these types of race issues have triggered a discussion in a city that's been revitalized in recent years following racial violence. Some blame the nation's divisive politics or social media.
