CLEVELAND (AP) - An Ohio fertility clinic where thousands of frozen eggs and embryos may have been damaged in a storage tank failure says it's ruled out any inappropriate physical access to its storage tanks area. University Hospitals in suburban Cleveland also said in the letter this week to clinic patients that it doesn't think there was a hack into its computers, but has made no final determination on that. The hospital says it hasn't discovered what caused the March 4 tank failure.

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Gov. John Kasich's administration is proposing new ways to combat toxic algae in Lake Erie. The biggest change being offered would require some farmers to cut down on the amount of fertilizers and manure that flows into Ohio streams and ends up in Lake Erie. The plan being rolled out Friday comes a day after the state said it was declaring the western end of the lake impaired by the algae.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A man accused of fatally shooting two Ohio police officers responding to a 911 hang-up call has been indicted on charges that carry the possibility of a death sentence. Authorities say 31year-old Quentin Smith fired on the officers from Westerville in suburban Columbus on Feb. 10. Smith was shot and wounded and hospitalized for several days. Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien announced the indictment Friday.

CINCINNATI (AP) - Federal authorities still are reviewing the case of a white police officer who fatally shot a black unarmed motorist near the in Cincinnati in 2015. U.S. Attorney's spokeswoman Jennifer Thornton confirmed Friday to The Associated Press that review of "the facts" continues, but declined to comment. State murder charges against former University of Cincinnati officer Ray Tensing were dropped after two mistrials.
