INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indiana House Speaker Brian Bosma says he's aiming for May's special legislative session to be a one-day job in which lawmakers take up only key bills that were on the cusp of passing. The Indianapolis Republican's remark on Wednesday came after Gov. Eric Holcomb announced earlier this week that he would call lawmakers back to the Statehouse. A number of major bills died last week after bickering Republicans failed to reach agreements.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb has signed a bill that allows for the widespread sale of a cannabis-derived oil. Cannabidiol, commonly referred to as CBD, is derived from marijuana and hemp and is believed to have therapeutic benefits, but it lacks the stuff that will get you high. Holcomb signed the bill Wednesday. The new law takes effect July 1.

GREENCASTLE, Ind. (AP) - Holocaust survivor Eva Mozes Kor will receive an honorary degree from DePauw University. The school in Greencastle says Kor will be among three people recognized with honorary doctoral degrees during its May 20 graduation ceremony. Kor is a longtime Terre Haute resident and Jewish native of Romania who was sent in 1944 to the Auschwitz concentration camp, where she and her twin sister were subjected to inhumane medical experiments.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) - A western Indiana city is unveiling more than two dozen oversized Coca-Cola bottles for a public art project honoring its link to the uniquely shaped container. The 27 fiberglass bottles will be revealed Thursday in Terre Haute, about 70 miles west of Indianapolis. Each stands 6 feet (2 meters) and was colorfully painted by local artists. The Root Glass Co. in Terre Haute created the glass Coke bottle's distinctive contoured design in 1915.
