LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A Kentucky man who allegedly said barbeque sauce caused the shooting death of an 8-year-old boy has taken a plea deal. Local news outlets report 21-year-old Elgin Anders pleaded guilty on Monday to reckless homicide in the shooting of 8-year-old Andre Lamont O'Neal Jr. Anders faces one to five years in prison.

DENVER (AP) - A prominent group that has helped U.S. state governments implement conservative legislation is expanding to cities. The American Legislative Exchange Council has launched a municipal counterpart. The American City County Exchange distributes model legislation on everything from a taxpayer bill of rights that would require a supermajority to raise property taxes to measures requiring that cities explore all available materials to build sewer pipelines.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A four-star Kentucky hotel has discovered a data breach threatening guests' credit card information. News outlets report The Galt House hotel in Louisville said Wednesday that an internal investigation found malware had been stealing information from a payment card processing system.

ROCKHOLDS, Ky. (AP) - A Kentucky woman has been arrested after authorities say she stole the wallet of a victim of a fatal motorcycle crash. The Whitley County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that 36-year-old Scott Bray lost control of his motorcycle Wednesday morning and went over an embankment, striking a tree. Authorities later arrested 37-year-old Alishia McElfresh after witnesses told responders they saw a woman going through the victim's wallet before deputies arrived.
