The "Cram The Cruiser" initiative begins accepting food Wednesday, just ahead of Thanksgiving and the drive will continue through Dec. 12. Police are collecting non-perishable food items for families in need across the state.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky's Republican governor has called on the state's former GOP House Speaker to give up his seat in the state legislature after privately settling a sexual harassment claim brought by a member of his staff. Former House Speaker Jeff Hoover resigned his leadership position earlier this month after acknowledging the settlement publicly. But Gov. Matt Bevin told WHAS radio on Tuesday that was not good enough. He said Hoover and any other lawmaker who settled harassment claims should resign.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Authorities say a police officer in Kentucky who's accused of assaulting a man has been arrested. Louisville Metro police spokesman Dwight Mitchell told news outlets that 30-year-old Christina Gaddis was an officer when she was arrested and served with the department for three years. Gaddis was arrested Sunday and charged with fourth-degree assault. She has been placed on administrative leave.
