Two people have been arrested in connection to an armed robbery at a Dollar General in Oxford.
Oxford police officers were dispatched to the Dollar General on College Corner Pike around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday for reports of a robbery in progress.
At least one gunshot was fired during the incident but no one was injured, according to Oxford PD.
The suspect took off on foot with an unknown amount of cash.
On Thursday morning, detectives identified the the suspect, Jason Dent, and his accomplice, Ashlea Schmidt. They were both taken into custody a short time later.
A search warrant found cash, clothing and the handgun used in the incident, Oxford PD said.
Dent is charged with aggravated robbery. Schmidt faces a complicity to aggravated robbery charge.
