Cincinnati Police to enforce summer curfew for teens

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Police Department is reminding parents of curfew ordinances for teens under the age of 18.

Teens under the age of 16 cannot be in a public place after 10 p.m. For teens ages 16 or 17, it is a violation to be in a public place after 12 a.m. without a parent or guardian.

Any teens found in violation of the ordinance may be detained and cited for a curfew violation. In addition, the parent or guardian of a teen who violates the ordinance may be cited as well.

Cincinnati Police say the ordinance is in place to keep Cincinnati's youth safe.
