CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Bengals wrapped up the team's rookie signing period after officially inking first round pick William Jackson III to a deal.
"It's great to have all our guys officially in the fold before minicamp next week," head coach Marvin Lewis said. "Will is obviously at the head of that list. We see him as a guy that can come in right away and the 46-man roster on Sundays."
Jackson III led college football with a University of Houston school record 23 pass breakups. He also added five interceptions last season.
"He's got great athletic skills, speed, length and a lot of great qualities to be a great player at the pro level," Lewis said. "His ability to play the ball in the air, to play around receivers and not be cumbersome around receivers, is just excellent."
The details of the contract have not been disclosed.
The Bengals have now signed all seven 2016 draft picks.
