CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Two Xavier Musketeer baseball players heard their named called on day three of the MLB Draft.
Catcher Dan Rizzie was selected in the 13th round, 400th overall, by the New York Mets. Shortstop Andre Jernigan went a round later to the Minnesota Twins.
Rizzie has a career .305 average with a .380 on-base. He hit 15 career home runs and 87 RBIs in his four seasons with the Musketeers.
Jernigan was named Big East Player of the Year this season. The shortstop hit .252 on the year with 14 home runs and 42 RBIs.
Rizzie and Jernigan helped the Musketeers advance to the regional final against UCSB in the NCAA Tournament.
