Suspect back in custody after escaping from police cruiser

SPRINGFIELD TWP, OH (FOX19) -

A man is back in custody after escaping from a Springfield Township cruiser shortly upon arriving at the Hamilton County Justice Center Saturday, authorities confirmed. 

Police said Romero Jeter, 21, ran from officers after being picked up on concealed weapon charges and outstanding warrants. 

Jeter was caught in a wooded area near the northbound I-71 ramp off Gilbert just before 5 p.m. 

He is described as a black male, 5'7" and 130-140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and white shorts.
