CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Tiger Dumpling, a Chinese restaurant specializing in authentic dumplings is coming to The Banks late summer or early fall.

The restaurant’s location near the University of Cincinnati closed recently as ownership looked for a space to handing increasing growth and popularity.

The new Tiger Dumpling will be located next to Tervis across the street from Tin Roof.

“Tiger Dumpling has been really popular and we’ve built a big following that includes everyone from college students to families,” said owner Hunter Hebert. “The Banks gives us an incredible environment to accelerate our growth and reach so many more people. We’re excited to be a part of the positive momentum happening downtown and add a new dimension to the food roster at The Banks.”

Tiger Dumpling offers three dumpling options – pork, chicken and veggie (which is also vegan) – served in either a pan-fried potsticker style or steamed. Each order comes with spicy and mild sauce choices, including the signature Tiger Sauce.

The original menu also includes three types of edamame: sea salt, tiger sauce and sweet chili garlic and fresh made soups of the day.

Hebert is also working on expanding the menu for the re-opening, including Soup Dumplings, Steam Buns and quick-serve Ramen specials. A variety of beer, wine and sake selections from Asian and South Pacific countries will also be introduced.
