CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Ditch your car and take the bus instead Thursday for  National Dump The Pump Day.

This the 11th year for the national effort to get folks to ride the bus.

Here’s how it works: bus rides are free, and if you pledge to ride you could win a ton of free prizes including a Jimmy Buffet concert, Kings Island passes, and Taste of Belgium certificates.

You’ll also get treated to a live show- musical acts will be performing at different bus stops throughout the day.

Some of the acts include local reggae band The Cliftones, American Idol contestant Jess Lamb, and Buggs the Rocka from Space Invadaz and more.

Metro is joining more than 100 transit systems throughout the country.

For more information on how you can take the pledge to ride and the band schedule, visit http://metro61616.com/
