DAYTON, KY (FOX19) - A former YMCA employee faced a judge in a preliminary hearing on Thursday as he faces sexual abuse charges stemming from an incident that occurred at the Dayton, Ky. YMCA.
Dylan Richardson, 24, was a part-time YMCA employee who worked intermittently since 2012.
In a letter sent to parents, the YMCA announced earlier this week that Richardson was immediately suspended from all duties and has since been fired based on the information available at this time.
The alleged incidents occurred four years ago at the Dayton, Ky. YMCA Teen Center and involved "one to three" minors, according to the letter.
Richardson was booked into the Campbell County jail on June 6.
"Please know that we have no reason to believe your child was involved but, out of concern for the children who participate in our programs, we want to make every effort to inform you of the situation," the letter read.
Richardson is facing a first degree sexual abuse charge.
