A man was struck by a train in Bracken County Saturday night, dispatch confirms to FOX19 NOW.
Emergency crews responded to the intersection of 3rd St. and Main St. in Augusta, Ky. around 9:30 p.m. for reports of a man struck by a train.
Jeffery Plummer, 28, of Mt. Carmel was taken via Air Care to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in serious condition. The severity of his injuries are unknown at this time.
Police said they are not sure why or how Plummer was so close to the tracks.
The incident remains under investigation.
