A 28-year-old man is scheduled to face a judge Monday on charges he attacked a victim with a machete during a theft offense.
Michael Trent took an unknown amount of cash from the victim and then kicked him twice and cut both of his hands with a machete, Reading police wrote in court records.
The victim could lose the use of his right index finger and had to get multiple stitches in his hands, records state.
The alleged attack occurred June 15 in the 300 block of East Vine Street.
Trent was booked into the Hamilton County jail Friday on charges of felonious assault and aggravated robbery.
