One person was killed and another one was injured following a motorcycle crash in Wayne Township Sunday evening.

The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of Somerville-Jacksonburg Road, according to Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones.

A preliminary investigation revealed that there were two passengers on the motorcycle when it collided with a 2010 Volkswagen.

The driver of the 2012 Yamaha, Jeffrey Craig, 57, of Hamilton OH, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

His passenger, 58-year-old Marcia Craig, also of Hamilton, was transported to the hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Volkswagen, 27-year-old Ryan Napier, did not sustain any injuries.

The Craigs were not wearing helmets, according to Sheriff Jones.

The crash investigation will continue with sheriff's office and the Butler County Coroner’s Office.
