Avondale - U.S. News and World Report ranked Cincinnati Children's Hospital third in its annual Best Children's Hospitals report for the sixth year in a row.
"I'm grateful to our employees for their passion, talent and dedication. They make these outstanding results possible," Cincinnati Children's CEO Michael Fisher said in a written statement.
U.S. News publishes its rankings to provide patients and their families a tool that can help narrow their search for a hospital, especially if the patient has a condition requiring highly-specialized care.
The rankings highlight the nation's top 50 pediatric facilities in 10 specialties.
Cincinnati Children's was ranked among the top five pediatric hospitals in seven of those 10, including: a second ranking in Nephrology and Gastroenterology/GI Surgery, a third ranking in Endocrinology, Pulmonary, Urology and Orthopedic Medicine, and fourth ranking for Neurology/Neurosurgery.
Cincinnati Children's Endocrinology program moved the most of any specialty -- up from seventh last year to third this year.
