CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati police are searching for a man who allegedly groped a University of Cincinnati student Monday afternoon.

The reported sexual offense occurred on Warner Street around 3 p.m., police said.

“It’s definitely something that concerns me. It’s something that I don’t want to be happening in my neighborhood,” said Clifton resident Carolyn Fast.

The victim told police the suspect walked up to her as she sat outside an apartment and began a conversation. During the conversation, the suspect sat down next to the victim and touched her inappropriately. The victim stood up and walked away.

Police said the suspect followed the victim, pushed her up against a wall and began touching her inappropriately.

“When you hear of something like that happening so close to home or in an area that you frequent, it definitely makes you kind of be extra alert,” said Fast.

The suspect is described as a middle eastern male, 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds and is approximately 30 years old with a foreign accent.  Police said he has curly brown hair, a graying brown beard and was last seen a wearing sleeveless blue and green flannel shirt and khaki shorts.
