FOX19 - A 6-month-old baby girl died after being left in a hot vehicle Tuesday afternoon in North Texas.
The Dallas Fox affiliate reports girl's father was arrested and charged with manslaughter.
Michael Thedford returned home after dropping off his two other young children at daycare, according to the probable cause affidavit.
Thedford told police he forgot the baby girl in the van and went inside to sleep. She had a fever the night before and couldn't go to daycare.
He told investigators he discovered the baby three hours later.
He told police she was stiff and "hot as a brick," so he placed the girl in the refrigerator for an undetermined time before calling 911.
Tuesday's high in North Texas was 98 degrees, the hottest day so far this year. Thedford was released from jail after posting a $20,000 dollar bond.
