NORTH FAIRMOUNT, OH (FOX19) -

A 25-year-old motorist died and his passenger was hospitalized when his car crashed into Talbert House early Friday, Cincinnati police said.

Denzell Andrews of St. Bernard was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo on Carll Street near Beekman Street when he crossed the double yellow lines and crashed into the building just before 2 a.m., traffic investigators wrote in a prepared statement.

He was not wearing a seat belt and died, they said.

The passenger was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, police said.

That person's condition and name were not released.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Excessive speed and impairment are factors, according to police.

Talbert House sustained no structural damage, they said.
