Events: Pete Rose inducted into Reds Hall of Fame

CINCINNATI (FOX19) -

The Cincinnati Reds will celebrate the legendary career of Pete Rose in the 2016 Reds Hall of Fame Induction weekend. The special weekend will include ceremonies to retire his number 14 jersey and celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Reds' 1976 World Series Championship. 

Schedule of Events:

Friday, June 24 - Cincinnati Reds vs. San Diego Padres, 7:10 p.m.

5:40 p.m.: Gates open and all fans receive 1976 Reds Team Photo

6:30 p.m.: 20 members of the Big Red Machine, including Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, and Tony Perez, will be introduced on the field to celebrate 40th anniversary of the 1976 World Series Championship Reds players and coaches will wear 1976 throwback uniforms, and postgame festivities include a fireworks show and throwback music.

Saturday, June 25 - Cincinnati Reds vs. San Diego Padres, 4:10 p.m.

2:40 p.m.: Gates open and all fans receive a commemorative Pete Rose poster

3:30 p.m.: On-field ceremony to induct Pete Rose into Reds Hall of Fame. Marty Brennaman will be the master of ceremonies and Pete will address the crowd. More than 20 Reds Hall of Famers will be in attendance.

Sunday, June 26 - Cincinnati Reds vs. San Diego Padres, 1:10 p.m.

11:40 a.m.: Gates open and all fans receive a commemorative Pete Rose print

12:30 p.m.: On-field ceremony to retire Pete Rose's No. 14 jersey. Ceremony will include appearances by previous Reds legends who have had their numbers retired - Johnny Bench, David Concepcion, Barry Larkin, and Tony Perez.

6-10:30 p.m.: Hall of Fame Induction Gala at the Duke Energy Convention Center

Fans can meet returning Hall of Famers and other former players at the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday by purchasing meet and greet packages. These packages include a 2016 Reds Hall of Fame Pete Rose bobblehead, an induction lapel pin, and a program. Participating Hall of Famers and alumni include David Concepcion, George Foster, Cesar Geronimo, Ken Griffey Sr., Eric Davis, and Chris Sabo, among others. A limited number of packages are available for $22 at reds.com/auctions.

The weekend will conclude with the Hall of Fame Induction Gala on Sunday evening at the Duke Energy Convention Center. The gala will feature current players and coaches, along with Hall of Famers and other alumni honoring Pete Rose.
