CORRYVILLE, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati Police Department has released surveillance video of the attack of an 87-year-old man outside the Corryville LaRosa's last week.

James Hayes Sr. said he was attacked with his own cane before being robbed of his car and wallet last Friday. Hayes has worked at the LaRosa's for the last 20 years.

The video shows the attacker throwing two rocks at Hayes. Once Hayes is on the ground, video shows the suspect hitting Hayes with his cane.

"When I got out to get my stuff...from the car...that's we he came out and ran over, punched me, knocked me down, took my cane, beat me with my cane, turned me over, got my wallet out of my back pocket, taken my car and drove off," recalls Hayes.

The suspect took off in Hayes' car. Authorities found the car but not the suspect.
