CINCINNATI (FOX19) -

Cincinnati-shot film "Marauders" officially hits theaters Friday ahead of a private premiere at the Esquire Thursday.

The action-thriller stars Bruce Willis along with "Law & Order" actor Christopher Meloni, "Guardians Of The Galaxy"‘s Dave Bautista and "Entourage’s" Adrian Grenier.

The Queen City serves as backdrop for the film. Last September, crews shots scenes on the streets of downtown and inside several old bank buildings.

The film, directed by Steven C. Miller, centers around a group of bank robbers who try to give stolen money to a charity, all the while being chased by a suicidal FBI agent.

This is the fifth time in recent years that Cincinnati has hosted a major film production. Cincy’s lineup includes films like Carol, featuring Cate Blanchett, The Blunderer with Jessica Biel, Goat with James Franco Miles Ahead with Don Cheadle, as well Mariah Carey’s hallmark channel movie "A Christmas Melody."

The Greater Cincinnati Film Commission is hosting the premiere at the Esquire.
