PLEASANT RIDGE, OH (FOX19) -

Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole a cash register from a Pleasant Ridge gas station Friday morning.

Officials were dispatched for a robbery at the Marathon gas station on Montgomery Road near Lysle Lane at around 7:30 a.m. 

He fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said. 

Surveillance footage shows the man entering the gas station and then leaning through the clerk's window to take the cash register.  

The suspect is described as a male black wearing a hooded sweatshirt. 

No word on how much money was in the register.
