TAMPA BAY, FL (FOX19) - An orangutan on the loose at Bush Gardens on Friday caused a partial evacuation at the park just after 5 p.m., TampaBay.com reported.
The site said that the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission had officers at the park.
FOX13 reported by 6 p.m. social media posts from park guests indicated that park staff was telling them that the animal had been recaptured.
Florida Fish & Wildlife later confirmed that the orangutan had been returned to its enclosure. An FWC investigator remained on the scene.
There is no word of any injuries, or how the animal got loose.
