TURTLECREEK TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A 47-year-old Miamisburg woman died after a motorcycle crash Friday night in Warren County, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol Lebanon Post.

The crash happened at approximately 8:10 p.m. on State Route 741 near Hamilton Road, in Turtlecreek Township.

Police said the driver, Karen Ryan, lost control of her 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle and struck the rear of a stopped 2004 Jeep Liberty being driven by 25-year-old Alexander Ward, Middletown.

According to officials,  Ward stopped for traffic at the Hamilton Road intersection, which caused Ryan to lose control, overturn and strike the rear of the stopped Jeep Liberty.

Ryan was not wearing a protective helmet at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Ward was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
