A Butler County, Ohio, sheriff's deputy is in guarded condition after being shot during a confrontation with two men accused of robbing a southwest Ohio gas station. Twenty-six-year-old Deputy Brandon Roberts is being treated at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Authorities say he was shot after stopping two men who allegedly tried to rob a bank in College Corner, Indiana, and then held up a gas station in Camden.

Sheriff Richard Jones says he expects numerous charges will be filed against both men, identified as 24-year-old Mark Kendrick Junior and 19-year-old Robert Morris, both of Hamilton, Ohio.
