CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
A Springdale murder suspect will spend life in prison plus 66 years after taking a plea deal Tuesday.
Akihiko Clayton, 20, was arrested in last July for stabbing four children and killing a man inside their Springdale home.
He was facing a total of 16 charges including two counts of aggravated murder, four counts of attempted murder, eight counts of felonious assault and one count each of aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary, court records show.
On July 2, Springdale police say Clayton forced entry into an apartment at 1108 Chesterdale Circle at the Willows of Springdale.
He stabbed Emilio Ramirez, 33, multiple times, killing him, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said, before turning the knife on four children in the home; twin 2-year-old girls, a 7-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy.
In August, Prosecutor Deters said Clayton could face the death penalty.
