PHILADELPHIA, PA (FOX19) -

A group of Bernie Sanders supporters are planning to point out that the 2016 presidential race stinks in a unique way.

Protestors are planning a “fart-in” at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

Former Philadelphia health commissioner and Bernie Sanders supporter Dr. Watler H. Tsou and former Green Party vice presidential candidate Cheri Honkala are putting it on to protest Hillary Clinton’s Democratic nomination.

"It shows the level of absolute disgust that we're at – we think we're going to remember 2016 as the year we begin to bury the two corporate political parties," Honkala says in a U.S. News and World Report. “It’s really a shame – this whole thing does stink. Democrats and Republicans are like Pepsi and Coke. They listen to corporations and they don't listen to anti-poverty activists."

The participants plan to fart at the moment when Clinton officially accepts the Democratic nomination.

The protest will take place in and out of the Wells Faro Center on the last day of the DNC.
