NORWOOD, OH (FOX19) -

The Norwood Police Department is asking for you help in identifying a man that robbed a BP gas station in Norwood June 29.

The video above shows the man walking into the gas station and asking the clerk to get him a smoke.

Once the clerk starts to ring the man out for his purchase, police say, the man pulls out a semi-automatic firearm and taps it on the counter twice.

Upon seeing the gun the clerk starts to back away from the register and the suspect tells him "Don’t run I’ll shoot, Don’t run from me." The clerk then opens the register and hands the man about $60 from the register according to a store employee.

The suspect then grabs the money, grabs the item he asked to purchase and checks the register once more before fleeing the scene on foot.

In a facebook post the Norwood Police Department asks for your help in identifying this man. "If you have any information on this suspect, we ask that you please call Detective Jeff Barger at 458-4540 or contact him by email jbarger@norwoodpolice.org."
